Two distinct areas create far different eating experience, driven by sensitivity or rationality.

It`s usually contradictory to choose what we eat. On the one hand, people are rational.  Calories intake and nutrition labels determine more or less if we make a purchase of food. On the other hand, as a creature of emotion,  it is never easy to say “No” to what makes us happy.

What factor dose influence our choice making of food? In Eat What Tofu exhibition, the question will be exposed to the public, and answered by audience.

Sensitive experience

Four tofu dishes were created based on traditional recipes to allure audiences`desire.  Five senses  are amplified to dominate choice making.

rational experience

In Rationality stage, six kinds of tofu dessert are packed inside white box. There is on chance for audience to judge the deserts by appearance. Nutritions are the only hint labeled on the surface.

During the exhibition, we asked audience three questions about tofu and encouraged them to leave the answers in any form on three messageboards. The questions are listed as follow:

1.will you be vegetarian in the future, and why?

2.Is tofu sexy, What do you think is sexiest food and sexiest way of eating?

3.By what would your choice making of food be influenced?
